Latest Navi. Disc

I'm debating on whether I should buy the lastest Nav. disc. The one I have is original to my 8 and I know roads, and Points Of Interests have been added, but my question is....is the latest nav. disc an improvement graphically? is just more map data?, or is it a combination of the latest firmware and disc map improvement. By the way, I requested latest firmware from Mazdausa in the middle of Feb. and still hasn't received it.

I need some feedback before I shell out 199 clams for the new disc...which is by the way, a 2-disc DVD. Is one DVD for U.S and the other Canada?

Thank you

I have the newest (I think). Just bought an '05 and the dealer had to order the disc for me ($250). There's 2 discs, but the 2nd appears to be a CD-ROM. Haven't checked it out yet though, so not sure. Living in So-Cal, I've not been too impressed with it yet, as it doesn't include a lot of things that have been around for at least a year by now (including a major freeway).

Did u have to pay an extra $250 for the disc, or did the dealer eat the cost?

They did. It was a used car, and they had the case for it, but no disc. So they ordered a new one.

I called MNAO about the firmware disc (which is free) and they mailed it out the same day. I got it, a roadside assistance brochure (because I asked a question about the service), and a cool little zoom.zoom sticker within 3 days.
