Firmware you guessed it 9.5. Anyone know the ipod hookup that would work with this one?

oem doesnt work with that firmware version im quite sure.
anything that uses the tape/md port will work, i have an auxmod and that works fine, however it does not charge the ipod

 

looks like i may have to go with the fm modulator. I have it on the headunit wher unit where it says tape/md but it does nothing.

 

No, what he was saying was that he thought that the iPod adapter that used the Tape/MD connection would work. I don't know if that has been tested with your firmware though. Why not just get the firmware upgrade from the dealer and call it a day?

 

i was unaware that i could do that. My visor also broke will that take care of that as well?

i have firmware 9.5 and run an auxmod (as stated before) and it works no problems at all

if you upgrade the firmware, then you can run anything you want

 

I don't think that the OEM unit has a firmware restriction; there's nothing in the adaptor manual about HU firmware. I've not heard of anyone having a problem but the OP could check with the dealer.... What am I saying! Does anyone know for sure?

 

i know that it plugs into the cd changer plug, which apparently does not stay on with the old firmware
