interior lights are dim

I was trying to install the axxess ipod box and it didnt work. I took it off and went to go eat. Half way there the lights on the center dash dimmed a lot and now you can barely see them.

How do I fix this?
Im pulling it out today once again to see whats wrong.

I had the exact same problem last week after installing my audiolink system. Pulled the radio out again and found out that the largest harness on the back of the radio was not seated all the way.

The easiest way to connect that would be to remove the vents above the radio. There are two screws holding the vent in place, remove those and then pull straight out on the vents. They will pop out. Then that gives you enough room to reach behind the radio and plug the main harness in. The harness is extremely short and it's a PIA getting it in any other way.

Let me know if that helped!

I will check this out. I figured it was one of the harnesses since I "touched" them, but I thought it could had been a fuse as well. thanks.

well this morning they started working and right when I was arriving at work they dimmed out again. I took the radio out and I figured that the right bottom plug that connects in the rear of where the ac controls are at is the one that controls the lights. It seams like nothing is wrong but its messed up. Help anyone?
