Installing a avic-d2 navigation sytem

been reading up on the installation of this system in my rx8. Some websites have told me that it won't fit in the car, but crutchfield says that it does. If I have to trust anyone, it would definitely be crutchfield over amazon.com, but I was wondering if anyone knew a definite about whether or not this unit will fit in the car.

Understandably I will be replacing the audio panel in the car. Any info on this would be awesome.

The Metra kit has all you need. Runs about $150 retail.
