Info on CAN

Well....I'll let you guys be the judge... I ran across it while doing some research...

Softing

Softing Automotive Electronics is the specialist for onboard and offboard communication. Building on a strong background in industrial automation and communication, Softing has established, by 1990, a dedicated automotive electronics department. It is specialized in engineering support and software development for electronic control units, in interfaces and test tools for vehicle communication as well as in data acquisition.

We provide interfaces to automotive electronics for on-board and off-board communication (CAN, ISO 9141, SAE J 1850/J1708, MOST etc). Focus is on the ECU (interfaces, analysis, diagnostics and test). For PC-based or mobile data acquisition, we supply systems for test/verification/simulation and data loggers based on automotive bus systems. Standard products include DTS (diagnostic tool set) and EDICmobil (datalogger). Services comprise projects for development and production.

Windows CE has been developed into a new operating system platform for a great variety of mobile communication and automation devices. Due to its compactness, Windows CE offers significant advantages especially in the area of embedded systems.

As an authorized Windows CE system integrator, Softing has acquired well-founded know-how in driver and application development with different hardware platforms. In the framework of the Microsoft System Integrator Program, we will be glad to advise you with your CE project and support you with its implementation.

Relevant products include: CAN CE Driver (available for the version 3.0 of Windows CE), CAN PC/104 and CANcard2. With the support of Windows CE for the CAN PC/104 and CANcard2 interfaces, the use of embedded CE systems in CAN networks is possible as of now.
