I had the basslink in a s2k it sounded nice for the car...i decided to put it in the rx8 it sounded great...I wanted to buy another one to put back in the other car...i purchased the MTX thunderlink for $180 shipped... very similar and actually has the same setup...once installed, the thinderlink sounded great and actually hits much better than the basslink...it sounded like the crazy system i put in my civic when i was a teenager...the infinity doesnt sound good with constant bass or rolling bass...the thunderlink is strong and sounds good...overall...im now sticking with MTX as far as powered subs are concerned..

BASSLINK-
-pros- great sound, first design of its kind,cheap (esp on ebay)
-cons- fast rolling bass the basslink doesnt work well, needs more thump

THUNDERLINK-
-pros- sounds like 2 10 inch subs or one high powered 12 inch. great addition and strong with any type of bass..
-cons- more expensive than basslink.. stole concept from basslink..hard to tune right for car..

Nice review , what do you mean by thunderlink being hard to tune?

 

I'm getting a thunderlink installed tomorrow. Hope it's as good as you say it is. I'm not looking for insane bass, just something to round the system out. I'm excited .
