Indy-Cator Gear shift

Just installed this new gear **** which gives you a read out of which gear you have selected. Takes about an hour to fit.

Love it.

I'm assuming there is some type of "training" involved where you put it in each gear and it learns the angle with some type of gyroscope?

Nice looking gizmo but kind of useless imho. I mean, if you have to look down anyway where's the advantage of having a gear indicator? Since you have nice electrical skills you know it's already time for a display relocation, don't you?

Thanks for the comments

@ rickeo, yes it has a position sensor which you attach near to the stick and run through all the gears so it learns where they are. Part of this process also allows you to choose the colour.

@ bse50, You don't have to look down at the **** as it is visible with periferal vision. Not an essential item, but occasionally useful to confirm you are in reverse and when you accidently hit the wrong gear and try to pull away in 3rd. You can get a dash mounted guage which will give you gear selection and a G reading.

It is not the most useful mod I have fitted, but it does look cool and I love my gadgets.
