I would keep the same color scheme as the base cloth seats I have. But I would do them in alcantra, with red stiching. Might even change the color of the headliner and pillars to a darker color, probably dark grey like the seat centers.

Oh my car is White

i do like the alcantra seats on the shinka but i heard its a pain to clean. I do like the 09 Mazdaspeed Rx8 concept interior. But i dunno if thats the best color choice for a Brilliant Black, but it would be perfect for any of the blue colors, especially Stormy Blue!

I'd keep the black/red seats but go with Fortunate on the idea of the red panels being cloth.

.....and ext is black

another thing: i always thought itd be sick to have the red part of the seats substituted for royal blue to match a Winning Blue GT. Thoughts?

I currently have the tan/black 2-tone leather scheme. Classy, but the tan is a hard color to match up when buying aftermarket equipment.

Theres a guy that actually did that but in suede.

This is his webpage if you wanna see it: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2583113

Other than that blue one, I've only seen two other 2 tone colors other than the standard red/black and charparral/black combo:

Black/Silver:

Black/Yellow:

I would love to do that to my car, but with dark blue suede. It would look great with my Phantom blue and blue interior lights.

I have black leather now, which I'm more than happy with, but I'm down for a little suede or alcantara action

Question, how would I go about doing my interior like the guy with the yellow/black above, in his car domain website he says he painted it, but what kind of paint would you use to do that?

what's the difference between suede and alcantara? is it a superior form of suede? from what i've found online, alcantara is a suede-like material thats exclusively produced by one company.

I think red stitching on an all Black Leather interior would be damn sexy. (on a BB exterior of course)

my first choice was always Lightning Yellow. but, as fate would have it- it was not meant to be. so, for me- Lighting Yellow exterior and Black/ Yellow 2-tone leather interior.

Black + Black/ Red is my 2nd choice and also not bad. but, Yellow + Black/ Yellow is still my favorite. if i ever win the lottery, i'm going to find a yellow 8 in good condition and get the custom interior the way i always wanted.

Classic soft trim is the only company I know that does leather upholstery for the 8, I'm pretty sure there are others but I know they do a good job. the black/silver one in my above post was done through classic soft trim. Their front seats have "Rx-8" written on it. http://www.classicsofttrim.com/ Hope that helps.

I would keep black on black but with a twist. Black leather bolsters, with black suede or alcantara center, maybe perforated. That would be nice, plus it'll keep you planted.

I just got a lightning yellow with black leather interior. I think the yellow interior might be just a bit too much, but has anyone ever seen a yellow with red/black interior?

Also, has anyone ever done a "boot" for the handbrake? It looks a bit off to me to see bits of the exterior color at the base of the brake. Or is my car missing something that is normally there? Obviously, given the color, I got it used.

if have the black/red interior. if i were to choose anything else, i'd want the red changed to either white like above, or a lime green.
