HU Head Unit circuit board problem

HU Head Unit circuit board problem
I found a possible cause to the problem some of us have been having with dead HU/HVAC's.
My problems started when I removed the head unit to do the mp3/AUX adapter hack.
It seems that due to some adhesive or resin on the HU PCB, when I took the unit out part of the PCB stuck to the plastic face and pulled off the trace. The first photo shows the board and the place where the damage is. The second couple show the face plate where the traces stuck to the plastic.
It looks like using a trace pen might work now. Anyone have any luck with these?
