Has anyone had sucess having a dealer do the firmware update on the head unit? I didn't know if the unit had to come out or it could be done with the wds.

 

The HU is not accessible with the WDS.

Are we referring to the SAT update?

 

I installed the PIE for XM sat and my version is 9.50. I want to upgrade my head unit to 9.67 so the PIE will work properly. I just did not want to remove the head unit to ship it off.

 

I heard about a Mazda bulletin that says a dealer can exchange a HU when installing Satillite if firmware is not the highest one. I think this refers to 05 vehicles ONLY, but some tell me they mean any vehicle, any year.?

Anyone seen this bulletin?
