I want to tap into the signal going to the rear 6x9s, in my last car i jsut disconnected the speakers altogether but on this i want the 6x9s to work still. would simple scotchgard wire taps be sufficient or should i use something with a little more quality?

also, i plan on using the highlevel inputs on my amp so i dont need to run a remote turn on... how many watts currently go to the rear 6x9s? in my last car the rear 6x9s were getting 22 watts each @ 2 ohm, and this posed no problem at all on the amp.

im hooking up 2 infinity kappa perfect 10.1s and a jbl bp600.1 amp.
