How to make sub control switch???
So I just wired up a 1200 watt 12 incher, and needless to say it can be a bit overkill at times even when turned all the way down.
Can I just wire in a potentiometer (aka variable resistor) to one of the wires that runs from the amp to the sub?
If so then how strong of one would I need?
and if that wouldnt work how would I make a bass control knobb?

Aftermarket headunit?
If not, did you just use a line output converter back at the rear speakers?
Most any lineout converter has a pot you can adjust on it. And obviously the gain on the amp, which when turned all the way down, should yield damn near zero output from the sub. Of course these are little help for on the fly adjustments. But the PAC LC1 won't help with that either if it's next to the LOC in the trunk...

Well I had this other small white box thing that I forget what it was called that tapped into the rear speakers and outputted RCA, just tapped those into the LC1 level controler then ran the LC1 rca output to the signal input on the amp.
I did it because I didnt want to have to modify the amp. Ill get a pic of it later, its completely integrated.

Yeah thats it, just forgot the name.
I put rca extensions and ran it (along with an on/off switch) through the center console and integrated it into the front of the radio. Everything else is in the trunk though.
