When you're viewing the map, press the cursor which brings up a menu. The bottom item in the menu is something like "delete destinatation." Click on that. For simplicity, instead of scrolling down to that item, just scroll up and your cursor will appear at the bottom menu item. Good luck! And hey, did her husband leave her? Bummer.

You can turn it off in the setup mode. I am surprised that setting the volume to zero didn't stop the sound. That is what I do when want the map but no voice. Maybe when you set the voice to zero it didn't read when you pressed enter. I have found the enter button is real sensitive to being pressed straight down. Any angle and its failes to register the press.

i think this is part of the problem. sometimes it would work and sometimes not.

i also discovered if you press enter on the main map, you can scroll to 'guidance off' and it stops.
