How do you remove the center console?

My wife just spilled her damn coffee all over the center console area. ....cup holders, gear select down the sides, all that ****. Women don't see this as a big deal....just get a towel..... its like they don't see the details of whats happening or something. So, i need to find out how to take all that apart so i can clean out the dried sticky coffee, cause she uses all that French vanilla additive creamer crap so i know its gonna be extra sticky! Anyone with any ideas lemme know!

THanks in advance,

Chris

There are three parts to the center console. You have a piece that goes from the front cupholders forward and around the gear shift. To remove...remove the gear shift handle by unscrewing and then pull it up. There are 6 clips if I remember right. Pic

Then there is from the front of the front cupholders back. There are like 5 screws holding it down and it goes all the way into the trunk. PICS

After that is removed you should be able to remove the last piece which I have never done.

That sucks. Sell the wife. Or don't let her drink in your car.

If you search a bit you should be able to find all the info on taking the center console out.

Here's a DIY I did for the parking brake lever. Basically, it's just a bunch of philips head screws to remove the console. Not difficult at all.

The clips are very brittle and easy to break so be careful removing the console
