How do you connect the sat radio function in the 2005's. Is it ready or do do you have to install something to make it work?

 

you need the sirius tuner that is made for the 8... mine came installed at the point of entry, but they left the installation instructions in the car after they installed it. it comes with an antenna that is double-sided stickied to the trunk lid, cable clamps route the antenna cable under the trunk lid to where it is tie-wrapped to the trunk lid wiring harness and under the rubber gasketing around the trunk. The interior of the trunk is removed and the tuner is mounted on the left (drivers' side). Then a cable bundle is run from the tuner through the right rear seat and along the right side kick panel in the door jam, under the glovebox and behind the stereo. The connector on that end runs into what has been referred to as 'the mystery connector' on the back of the stereo that I think some people have used to connect their icelink ipod adapter to, so if you have one of those, you can't connect both the sirius and the icelink.
