How do I fix this? Leather Tear... (Sad)

So long story short, I wasn't paying attention getting into my car the other day and put to gashes in the steering wheel. Not happy, but they are not deep, just the top layer was damaged it seems.

But how do I go about fixing this? I'm pissed because the steering wheel is nearly perfect aside from these.

Not really anyway to fix it to where it will look normal. Time for a Autoexe wrap

I will replace the steering wheel before getting a wrap. Never been a fan.

You could try some shoe polish in a color near to the leather. I'm sure it would not last forever but it would help.

...or use permanent marker to match the color.

If you really want to put effort into it... The coating has to be sanded off then color matched recoated. Not exactly an easy DIY task. Take it to a quality automotive upholstery shop, perhaps they can help you if you do plan on investing into it.

The leather coating on Mazda's are sub-par quality. Most two tone leather steering wheels are already heavily worn with the color coating failing. I try to grip the black parts of my steering wheel as opposed to the red. I have noticed a slight red coating fade on the left of the wheel. It will eventually be recoated or I will have the entire wheel rewrapped in higher quality leather in the future.

I've got a similar mark on my passenger seat. I think one of my ******* friends had a pen or something in their back pocket.
