"Hidden skrew" wont come out!!!

Hey everyone, I'm a fairly new owner of the 8 and was installing an iPod integration kit. When I went to take out the hidden screw behind the HU, it loosened but wont come out. I can see a nut on the inside of the cd player thats just spinning with the screw as I turn. After trying to get it out and being extremely frustrated , I just disconnected the antenna cable w/o removing the cd player. After I got all the wiring done, power was going to my ipod but the power on the HU was off. I checked all the fuses and secured all the harnesses (the main harness on the left got unplugged when I removed the faceplate). Does anyone have any idea as to how I can either A.) Get that screw to come out? or B.) Get power back to my HU?

Thanks

I'm not sure which screw you're talking about? Is it the one you have to access from the driver side that's way up under the dash?

From my IPOD install thread

You know that security bolt? The circle with my finger behind it is where the bolt goes. To get there you need to remove the drivers side knee panel and the steel panel behind it. Then get a bunch of extensions.

No it is that nut. It goes right into the side of the cd player right?

I think what I circled here is where the security bolt attaches to the HU

Damn it. The link to the picture I used to use to show this bolt has been deleted.

It's a 10mm if that helps at all.

Ok, I work at Best Buy so I brought it into the auto shop and had my buddy look at it. He didn't understand it either and said there shouldn't be a nut there. We FINALLY got it off and what happend was that chrome nut that is attached to the cd player came off I was loosening it. After finally getting the cd player out it ended up being the main harness that comes out of the left side of the cd player not being fully connected and got my power back. Thanks for all your help guys, everyone on this site is so cool and helpful.

I left mine out since the unit is secure enough without it.
