but I guess no one has done this yet

ok, i was just discussing this with a buddy of mine who owns a ford lightning and the actual hid bulb we have came into question... what intensity do we have?
6,7,8000 K or what, cuz if we find this out, we'll be one step closer

I'm guessing 4300K, thats almost the OEM standard for any make/model.

I was wondering about this as well, sure would make a sweet functional as well as cosmetic upgrade.

The 4300K 600K 8000K number has little to do with intensity. It is the color temperature in degrees Kelvin of the light source........Higher #'s are more towards the blue spectrum and lower #'s are more towards the red

Can't we just put a set of silverstars in there? Sorry if it sounds cheap, but I just can't justify spending a few hundred bucks for a foglight HID conversion...

They don't make Silverstars yet for the two bulb sizes we need for the 8.....soon I hope. They are great bulbs....give great white color....with good intensity. A lot of the "blue white" bulbs suck as they look good....but you loose a lot in drivability
