Question Help w/ installing new accessory switch

I'm trying to install a swtich next to the dash light control and DSC switches. I can't find a thread with help on removing one of the blanks and installing a new switch. I've got a simple switch that I'll put in one of the blanks. So I need to remove the blank, drill a hole for the switch, and then reinstall the entire deal. Any help is appreciated.

Do you just need help popping out the blank itself? The guide tabs are top and bottom, so a electrical tape-wrapped thin flat-head wedged in from the bottom will pop it out really quickly. I didn't even wrap it, but I did dent the plastic.

Eradicator,

I certinaly don't have any experience on what you are asking, but StealthTL poster this on using the switches I beleive you are describing for a trunk button relocation. Hope that helps.

huhsler, thanks for the tip. I was trying by wedging the flathead screwdrivers in from the sides. I was also being really cautious because I didn't know for sure if there was a screw somewhere that I needed to remove first.

No prob. Good luck!

It looks like I'll have to buy one of 'Zoomer's dual buttons. Every one of my ACC switches are now taken up, thanks to the various DIY posts on this forum! ...AND I'm not done, yet!

LOL
