I have a 05 rx8 and, by mistake left the top open one day while it rained. The
sunroof didnt wont to work at all to begin with.. As we dried it and it dried it started working.. Worked fine a few times.. Then one day it decided to only
close 1/4 way.. Almost like when its supposed to start leveling out it stops.
It moves back and forward but only goes so far. Its open about 6 inches..
It kinda sounds like it may be off track when opening and closing..

Please help..

 

I think I've heard of them getting off track.

I Believe you can recalibrate them.... search around using that keyword. You may come up with something.

 

K, To everyone that doesn't know.. I fixed my problem by this.. I took out my map light console and used a Hex wrench on the sunroofs motor.. I cranked it down shut and the top works fine now.. Im guessing this is the adjustment screw for when your sunroof gets out of line..

Took me some time but figued it out, jeehaa
