Has anyone installed the interior night lights?

http://www.rx8garage.net/?page=shop/...9fbcca9123a27&

I have seen these aftermarket kits on the web, and I really like the way they look. I just wanted to know if anyone else has them, and what they think. What is involved with installing them, and are they worth the money? I have seen them with clear lights and with red lights. Thanks

Can you turn those lights on while you're driving or do they just turn on when the door opens?

Only with the dome lights....I get bought some red neons wired them into the head light circuit. Very easy and only cost 20 bucks!

So these night lights don't run full time when using the headlights? If not, then really, what is the use? Seems like a waste of close to $100.

Yeah--I am going to use some blue neons under the seats with a switch mounted at the ashtray.

I have blue lights in my '8. Installation was very simple -- just attach the (very lightweight) LED's up under the dash to some other wiring or a brace with some plastic wire ties. I swiped the lighting wire from the cigarette lighter, as I never use it anyway Now, the footwell lights come on when the headlights are on, and go off when the headlights go off. Works nicely, and took all of 30 minutes to install.

Best,
Bill

Edit: I got my lights off of Ebay for $15.00 -- two LED's per footwell.

I have them.
Save your $$. They are cool for about 2 minutes.
Then you do not even notice the light.
PM me if you have any specific questions.
