this deal on ebay looks pretty good for the price but i dont know if its worth buying. i hear the subs are fairly good but ive never heard of the amp's brand before.

i wouldnt expect that to hit too well they are fairley low end subs, good company just bottom of the line for them. to answer the other questions in non-tech terms a capacitor runs inline with your power cable before your amp and in a sense stores energy for you. When super deep hard bass kicks in it draws very hard from your electrical system (cuaseing diming headlights on some cars) when this hard draw occurs it now draws from your capacitor instead of over stressing your battery directly. And for the shipping im not an advocate for this company but i was a shipping manager for my co-op job and subs are pretty damn heavy its not out of question to think that the package is close to 50 ounds even for low end subs, with that in mind and the size of the box, 50 isnt soo bad.

 

snowrydr01 or anyone else, how do you know what size cap you need. I never got the frads of the measurment. Thanks
