Getting to the very front of the dash for tweeter install

I have a pair of tweeters (Infinity 10.9) that look like they would mount beautifully on the wide ridge at the very front of the dashboard (almost up to the windshield). Has anybody ever stripped the dash down far enough to get at this area?

Is there any free depth here to mount? If you've ever done it, can you let me know how to remove the rest of the dash, or enough of it to get at this area cleanly? Thanks,

Don't do it, the glass is going to cause all sorts of problems with response. Use some 3M double sided tape and put them in a couple of different spots to try them first, up high on the door, low on the A pillar etc.

I need to double-check the fit to make sure there's enough space on that ridge, but the mounts that come with the infinity 10.9s include a swivel mount that would allow me to point them at worst parallel to the glass, probably even more towards the passengers. If the mounts aren't too big in diameter, I think it might be the perfect solution.
