Foud the perfect off the shelf subwoofer enclosure!!

I just wanted to let everyone know that there is a 10inch x2 subwoofer box made by Q-Logic and is sold at Best Buy that fits perfectly into the space behind your seats in the trunk. There's even room for your fix a flat kit to stay mounted to the side. It looks like it was custom made for my RX-8.

The model number is QLH-10D65, although I didn't see it on the website, it's the 10" Dual Chamber

Well, here it is. When mounting the amp to the box you have to put the box in first and then mount the amp, otherwise it won't fit through the opening. I'm very happy with the install, but my speakers inside the cabin seem distorted now so it looks like I have some wire traceing to do.

Here's a pic of how I secured it inside the trunk. I used two eye hooks and some high strength zip ties around the holes in the upper frame. You can only see the hooks if you stick your head inside the trunk so it works out well.

It would sound better if they were "rear firing" like the box in the best buy link. That box does fit perfectly. I test fitted it in my 8, before buying the JL Audio enclosure with subs that had the same dimensions.
Here's my JL enclosure with 2 10 w6v2's.

well one day when I have the energy I will spin the box around and see how it sounds. I got the distortion fixed and the bass sounds good, it's not ground shaking by any means, but it's still good, which was what I was going for.

So what was the distortion problem, and how did you fix it?
It would be nice to know in case one of us expierences the same problem.

I'm not really sure what was exactly causing the distortion problem but I was using the pre-amp inputs into the Bose amp to feed my Kenwood amp, and since it was on mono and only uses the left channel I disconnected the right pre-amp and the distortion went away. So the only thing I can figure is that the instructions where wrong on the colors for the preamps and I was using the wrong ones on the right channel. Not sure though, all I know is that it sounds great now.
