Hi

I am trying to locate a radio/audio system for a 2004 RX8 that has the capacity to access the FM frequencies above 90 MHz.

The one I have is a Japan import with a multi CD deck and Mazda tells me that a Genuine parts replacement is availble for New Zealand (where I am situated) but at a very expensive price (as it is only really the radio tuner that I need).

I do not want to use one of those band expanders as they are not the best and do not give the correct LED frequency read out.

Does anyone know of a way to just replace the tuner or know where I could obtain a second hand unit or after market unit at a reasonable cost?

I am willing to pay to shipp it to New Zealand if there is one overseas any where.

I know the U.S. Radio gets FM stations from ~87.5 - ~108. I would see if those are a suitable replacement, but to be honest, I have no clue.

Also, there is a New Zealand forum further down, might help to ask there as well if you havent done so already.

do you mean want to change the frequency? just get radio booster at your local shop
