Flip out key with 2004?

Just bought my new to me 2004 RX8 last night. I have driven several 05s and 06s and they all had the push putton flip out key that was pretty nice. Can i go to teh dealer and buy one of these keys and have it cut/programmed to my car?

Im not neccessarily asking because of the "cool factor"...but just because the current alarm remote is HUGE.

ya... and for you... since you didn't search...

you can only get it from your dealer... the dealer can only program it, and you'll be spending probably around 500 bucks because you aren't SEARCHING for a cheaper way...

Edit: so search

It works fine.

I got a used push button remote on eBay, it came with a cut key blank.

Just order an new blank from your dealer, have it cut wherever you like. (I went to a locksmith) and use the DIY link to program the remote and key...

I vaguely remember in the directions that you'll need 2 spare keys just too set a 3rd?

My best suggestion is buying an un-cut one on ebay, program yourself, and find a cheap key cutter... (I went too the dealership some 15 bucks)

I went back to the dealer today and they found hte spare keys to my car - so i now have 2 normal keys and 1 valet, and 1 remote. So is hould be able to buy a flip out key, program it myself, and then have it cut somewhere, correct?
