my dome light has been flickering for several months now, and it's really annoying. could it be the connection? or the blub?

Mine flicker when they dim because they're LEDs. Could be the bulb though cheapest thing to try first really

 

I bet it's the connection, otherwise, if you use LED then it's the bulb like 'Figs' stated... When you replace the bulbs, you have to twist the holder counter-clockwise; sometimes the plastic piece at the base breaks causing it to loose contacts on the cooper connections. I glued mine with Elmer's Glue so it's easy to remove if I have to replace the bulb.
