Flashing auxillary light center of dash

Just did a direct connect with a sirius starbase unit with pie adaptors. Problem is that when hit the cd button to go to my satellite system i get a display of "ex" with a flashing number one. the flashing one is annoying esp at night. any way to stop the flashing.???

Nothing you can do about that
All of us who have the PIE adapter have the same thing.
But hey it works great right?

There is a quick fix for it. You'll never see that stupid flashing again.

Supplies:
Screw driver
Sharp knife
Wire strippers
Soldering iron
Spool of solder (your choice)
Electrical tape

First of all, set aside the wire strippers, soldering iron, screw driver, and solder.

Next cut a piece of black electrical tape to approx. 2 inches long with the sharp knife.

Third, place the piece of tape directly over the portion of the display that has the irritating flashing action.

Finally, put the knife, tape, iron, screw driver, wire strippers, and solder away.

Congratulations, you just made it so you won't see the flashing display anymore.

It will not go away. Also, don't hit the preset buttons on the stereo while in this mode or it will change to EX 2 (flashing) or something and your audio will go away. Once it is in this mode I could not get it to go back to EX 1 and have audio until I turned the system off and back on. You may can also hose this by hitting the up/down (channel/track) controls on the wheel.

EDIT: I played with this last night since I could not remember how it worked. You don't want to hit the "disc up" and "disc down" buttons on the stereo while in aux mode. It will change the display from EXP 1 to 2-6 and then back to 1. When you are not in 1 you have no audio from your aux in adapter. Contrary to the way I THOUGHT it worked, last night when I cycled it back to EXP 1 the aux in audio did return.

No, I'm not his bud (don't even know him personally), but for me, my AuxMod doesn't hum at all and I don't even have a ground loop isolator, just my MP3 player hooked up to it.
