Factory Nav Housing?

I sent a check to georgia and all I got was this lousy T-Shirt....wait...

Actually I just struck black gold....I received the following from Paul at Mazmart Inc.
This is step 1 in my CarPC setup that I plan on doing. I will be replacing the factory screen with the Xenarc 7" Touch Screen.

Though I won't go into the exact cost, I will say that Paul from Mazmart gave me an incredible price on this housing. Please note that any blemishes you may see on the housing is simply dust....I am one of the most **** persons around...and checked it all over for any blemishes...and found none! Read my review of Paul @ Mazmart here:

No, I simply wanted the Housing/Screen as I plan on building my own CarPC...I will have no need for any of the other hardware. If you are in need of parts, I suggest contacting Mazmart.

will you be able to control the open and closing feature without the other equipment?

if not, its one of the reasons i'm focussing hard on finding a nice rx-8 w/ nav--just to help out somewhat i guess

I know that navs are very scarce...you might want to try messaging him here and asking if he has anymore.

That's because I'm the busiest man in the industry. I apologize for not getting back to you. This is one of my worst faults. I've been trying to tell most customers if they don't hear from me in a certain time frame to check back with me but maybe I failed to do so with you. My phones ring all day and often it's multiple lines at the same time accompanied by walk-in customers (I'm considering by appointment only for them).
Again, I'm so sorry for not getting back to you.
Paul.

The boards to operate the open/close feature are built into the factory screen, so when you put the Xenarc in the factory screen housing they are going to be very tight. Plus you have to find a way to power them. There is a thread about building your own board that will save you alot of headache. Also BEFORE you take the factory screen out of the housing be sure you mark the gears for the motor or you will tear your hair out trying to line them back up one notch at a time.

Yeah, I know a few people that kept the board that controls the open/close feature in the screen...though it is cramped in there it will fit...also thanks for reminding me of the gears...I had seen that before but forgot.
