where to get the extra slot for navi?
does anyone know where to purchase the extra slot for inserting a deck or an aftermarket dvd player? it is suppose to replace the center piece of the dash where the stock navi is at. this is suppose to be for the people that didnt buy the stock navi. i saw this product in a japanese car magazine.. and i know this guy that has it. he told me his relative bought for him from japan when they went on a vacation. so im wondering if theres a site for this product. can somebody help?

The part you want is hard to get sometimes from mazmart and from the dealer can only be bought with the screen and is very pricey.. http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...=1&catalogid=2 Your bet bet is to follow the thread in this section titled dash mold option. They look like they are coming out with some promising stuff, but we have to be patient.

if you are refering to a 1DIN dash panel, then your options are slim to none. RMagic makes a piece, however it's quite expensive and overal build is so so. Just about all others you'll find are custom jobs.
My suggestion... get the nav tray or wait and see about the upcoming manual flip up screen dash panel (there's a thread on it) and mount a screen there (CarPC, Alpine or whatever). Use the stock HU with either the pie adapter (and car to pc adapter if using a CarPC) or aux mod to line in. Output to amps, etc. will be via LOC (line output converter). Just about everyone... even those who like "competition" level systems have been fairly happy with this setup.
