Exclamation DVD Will Work - Not Expensive

So you probably can't use the stock DVD player in the back and that makes sense. The stock Navigation screen is cool custom fit so keep that.

Parts:

http://www.tomshardware.com/consumer...203/index.html

Video Switch ( Multiple ways to do this, so you can switch from DVD to Navigation... )

My question is how to get that Gigabyte's GO-M1600A to play the DVD audio through the Bose system. Is there a line in ?( I know they have a tape deck for a RX8 how does that hook up to the BOSE so if you don't have it there must be an accessory Line in for the tape deck ! ) I know the power for the Gigabyte's GO-M1600A will work in a car, because the power supply in a computer for accessories is the same as a car for your aftermarket deck. Ever wonder what's behind powering those decks at best buy.... Computer Power supplies do a great job.

So you tap into the navigation screen video feed I got the (RX8 Factory Service Highlights Manual) so I have the inputs for that on there very sweet book to have btw.

'You could install this DVD player In the same place as the other player I am assuming or hide it some place else'

Then find a way to get into the line in on the BOSE and from the output on that player to the input on the Bose

Then after all of that you could use a video switch to go from Navigation DVD player to the Gigabyte's GO-M1600A ( more advanced units allow you to go to a rear camera also but it can be simpler then that )

Think about it all it would be doing is switching the video feed we are not reinventing the wheel here... common lol!

To tell the bose your using the Line in would be another question I have.

If theres a will theres a way

At this link http://www.savv.com/products_VAC33.htm

those two products would make it happen

VAC-VS32 + AC-FM88

Recap all my thoughts

Use the DVD-2100

http://www.savv.com/products_DVD_2100.htm

Then tap into the video feed on the RX8 Navigation Screen to the output on the VAC-VS32 and plug the DVD-2100 into one of the inputs on the VAC-VS32.

Then for the audio use the RCA outputs on the DVD-2100 and use the AC-FM88

That would succesfully allow you to have dvds run through your navigation screen. Also by using the VAC-VS32 you could get the VAC-RV5000NC (mini cam) they sell and use one of the inputs on it to plug it in

Very Cool I love the RX8 I was worried about mp3 decks but it come with it so thats good and now my question was how to make the Navi Screen play different Video Feeds ... DVD ... Rear view cam.

Please give me some feedback on my Ideas

Thanks
