So I've been searching and searching and found various notes on DVD players compatible with the OEM stereo. Best I have understood is that there is an Alpine 6 disk DVD changer that is compatible via P.I.E. to the stock stereo (Mine is a BOSE 300W)?

Is this the definitive answer to make this happen? I plan to do an aftermarket 7 inch LCD but want the DVD input to be controlled by the stock stereo if possible. Remote control to a DVD Changer remote eye is always an option to control it but wanted to use what is stock to avoid clutter.

You can't control it with the stock radio. You may be able to control it with a after market one.
