DROID+Rx8?

Hey guys, Ive switched over from an iphone 3G to a Droid and am loving it.

I was wondering if there is a way to connect my droid the 8 so i can
listen to Pandora, my mp3 collection, or google maps GPS through my
cars speakers?

Ive got an 06 Shinka, will the xcarlink usb also work for non ipod/apple devices
like my Droid? has anyone tried using an android phone with it already?

any other solutions out there? ive been considering getting the metra kit and
going the carpc route, but thats alittle too expensive on a car i might have for only another 3-6 years

If your car and phone have an aux jack that would definitely work. I have a HTC Hero and use Pandora with my car speakers at times. As far as your xcarlink goes I have no idea.. Someone else should chime in soon..

well, i bought my car in 06, i figure my wifes new car will be paid off in
another 3-6 years and i should be getting myself another new car. Its much
less stressfull having only 1 new car payment at a time, more money for vacations and stuff

But i guess i should kind of specify what im looking for...is there any BT (preffer BT unless A2DP quality is not good???) option that will let me listen to my mp3's and streaming music such as pandora and being able to use the steering wheel controls?

Im thinking of something like those products from Parrot, but not quite, i just want something that connects my cars audio system and my droid without really being the gadget middle man.

so far this is the closest thing ive found, im trying to see if steering wheel controls would work with it:

Connects to any aftermarket radio with RCA input or Aux-input connectors
And your stereo has neither.

My droid loves my Avic D3x. I can listen to Pandora, Slacker, Google Listen, and Droid Live through the HU. I don't think I've listened to a single track on my Ipod in the last month since I've had my phone.

you dont happen to have any pics of your dash? im assuming you used a metra kit? how does the HU feel, does it have a clean look to it? Have you tried the BT A2DP with the droid?

I play my Droid through my Parrot MK6100, via bluetooth. Its ok, but there is no low end to the audio at all. I don't know if it is the Parrot, the Droid, or the QuickConnect harness.

you never get good sound unless the device goes directly into the unit, or at least that has been my experience with audio equipment that sends wirelessly to a receiver to make sound.

I should write some kind of RX8 app for the droid...
