I am getting an iphone this weekend and I was wondering if the Mazda iPod Integration Module would work with it?? as in, play the music AND charge it at the same time?? I know there are other options out there but so far it seems like they dont charge the new iphone yet.

 

Hey, I'm not sure if it will work with your phone but I'm wondering if you can tell me anything about your IPOD integration module. How it works and it's clarity compared to the mazda bose stereo.

Ive been reading on it like a nutcase but i cant find any substantial information that says it is a good enough product. i would like to buy mazda devices but if its not as good as, lets say neo or grom hardware, then id rather go aftermarket. im looking for the best bang for my buck, i dont want a halfass device. just trying to find someone who will set me on the right path!

 

The dealer installed the iPod Integration Module and it works with my iPhone (even though it's officially "not supported" by Mazda). They installed the
F197 79 CFZ module and the harness kit (C9F5 V6 029) for the navigation model. I also have Sirius satellite standard with the GT model.

My iPhone (3GS) iOS is updated to 4.3.5.

I connect my iPhone in the glove compartment, and can control it through the navigation screen. I can see all of the data about the tracks as I can on my iPhone (playlists, artists, songs, podcasts, etc.). I can also control changing tracks and volume through the steering wheel. The module also charges my iPhone while the car is running.

It's too bad the Bluetooth wireless connection didn't work, but the iPod integration module works for me and sounds great through the Bose speakers.
