In the picture of the right side you can see my MTX 311D. With the 40Hz bass boost (actually 38Hz) set to +6dB and the Bose bass setting at -4 a 10W0-4 sounds great. That is only about 155 Watts and it sounded really sweet.

I have a 10W3-D4 going into the box soon. 310 Watts into it should sound really solid. Any more bass than a single 10W3 will overpower the stock Bose system (but the bass freaks would probably disagree). A dual 10 set-up should probably get a completely new system to go with it.

The box on the left didn't have a woofer in it at all. It is merely to show what a dual woofer set-up would look like and how much trunk space remains (roughly 75%). Two 10w6v2's with 800 total watts behind them would wake the neighbors and will definitely be more bass than I THINK I want.

Anyway I am very impressed.

We have completed both fiberglass enclosures for the RX8. We tested ONE 10W0 in Mr. Wiggles's car and it hammers!. We were only running a 155 watt amp to the single voice coil woofer too. The best part is that the bass was nice and low. We had the bass on the radio @ -4 and the sub-bass blended in with the factory system seemlessly. I cannot imagine two 10" subs with 500+ watts, the output would be insane. We have boxes ready to ship. Since this is the final pics and comments of the enclosure, the mods will close this thread.
