Dash Kits

Im looking to install a 7" touch screen into my dash. a flush mount screen, not motorized. I was wondering if there is any good quality dash kits for this out on the market or if all the ones ive seen on this forum have been custom made kits.

Yes...

You cannot remove the stock radio without losing functionality of the A/C & Heater! This was an ingenious design on Mazda's part. However, there is a kit that allows you to relocate the controls and comes with harnesses to maintain the functionality. I think the kit cost like $486 or something. I saw it around here in a thread last week. Somebody else here should be able to give you a link to the thread.

http://corksport.com/store/category/...-interior.html - but ask them if they guarantee the kit to work with the North-American cars, because someone who got one of these had many problems. However it's possible he got a non-American kit or the installation was messed up.
There is apparently a significant difference between the Japanese and the US version of this kit.

NAV Dash

You're in luck! Coincidentally, there was just a discussion on a dash replacement for NAV:

Replacing the stock headunit? My honest opinion is that you are wasting your time. Unless some major company like Metra (or mazda itself) decides to make a dash kit for installing aftermarket headunits, anything else will either be stupid expensive custom work, a custom hack job (relocating the headunit... not elegant!) or some combination of the above.

If all you want is a CarPC or aftermarket navigation... go with the dash panel from Japan mentioned in the post above and keep the stock headunit.

A PC is a bit of overkill for just watching DVD's... but of course one can do that as well.
