Dash kit

Sorry for creating another thread guys. But i was wondering why the 09-10 dash kits are soo much cheaper then the 08-down? I'm guessing by the looks of it that i couldnt make the 09-up fit my 04. Can anyone explain this to me? An or give me better options if you have any. Thanks

the 09+ kit doesn't have the hazard lights button built into it, and I beleive their a little bit different where the ash tray meets. It would prob be way more work than it's worth.

I though the S1 kit comes with the harness to allow the ac controlls to work?? But I dunno, never seen one.

i dunno if this thread is dead or not, but i just installed a metra kit with a pioneer deck with steering wheel control adapter in my '05.

the metra kit for the 04 to 08 models have the hazard and ac controls in the kit that you order, that is why it is so expensive compared to the '09 and up. cause mazda changed the design and they didnt have to include that stuff. i wondered the same thing at first. and started gettin annoyed when i thought i would find a s1 kit for like 40 and it ended up being an s2. haha

its well worth it if you know how to hook it up yourself. and really care about your sound and looks, metra did a good job painting to match my factory dash.

if you live anywhere near socal and want to put it in id be glad to help ya or anyone interested.
