So in my last RX8 ('05 Shinka), when I would turn on the headlights, the dash illumination was a bluish color. Of course this must've been aftermarket (I bought the car used). I just traded it in for an R3, and I would like the same install for this car, especially since it will match well with the paint color.

Anyone know where I can get this/install it?

In the last, when I clicked the dimmer down from the top is when everything went from white to blue. In this one, when I click it down it just dims the white. Thanks for the reply.

maybe the r3's do that?

It might be a new thing that mazda did.
I don't have any idea, never been in an r3, but the blue dash lights come standard so my guess is they just changed the way they do it.

correct me if im wrong but what i think hes trying to say is that everything on his dash illuminated blue, such as the center console and the door panel switches

hes not talkin about the the little light that shines in the speedometer

im pretty sure on every stock rx8 the dash illuminates red, or at least what hes talkin about

Hello AlbertHN125, glad you are aboard. I'm up in Zachary, where in N.O. you at?
For the OP, are all the lights in the dash blue or just the gauge cluster? There are a few folks who have replaced all the dash lamps with blue colored ones.

The dash does illumate red. And yes, I am referring to the little blue light that shines through the speedometer, fuel and temp area.

Sorry guys I didn't make it clear. From the get go I noticed that this model didn't come equip with it. Its not operator error lol, I'm curious about how to make the change. I liked it the way it was in my old 8. I mean, the white dash, or dull white dash is pretty corny.
