Dash Cover install question
I have a dash cover that I had custom made for my RX8 but have yet to install it. The problem is that I am trying to decide on a way to install the cover but be able to remove it down the road without damaging the dashboard?
Are there any types of adhesive that are completely removable off the dashboard but will make good contact to hold down the cover. The cover is made out of fabric with a good backing.
Any suggestions...
I was thinking rubber cement (since the stuff can be rubbed off) but not sure of exposure to the elements (i.e. a 100 degree day).
Thanks in advance...

Small squares of velcro, one side on the dash and the other on the cover. They make velcro without adhesive so you can use whatever adhesive you think will be best. This will give you the holding power while minimizing the amount of surface you have to subject to adhesive. And you can take the cover off from time to time to clean it.
I'm not sure what adhesive to recommend. On my miata I just used regular sticky-back velcro on the dash and the glueless velcro with fabric adhesive on the dashcover. Never did try to remove the velcro pieces from the dash.

Mayby you can put sheets of that sticky/gummy stuff they sell to hold cell phones and such stuff on the underside and it will stay in place. I've seen small pads at Radio Shack and similar stores. I think you can get sheets of it to line toolboxes, or something similar to it, at hardware stores or Sears.
