corksport dash kit

corksport dash kit

im thinking of buying the corksport dash kit with the wiring harness for my car but my question is how does this kit work with beeing able to keep my a/c controls? is there a harness for the climate control as well? because if i recall i believe the climate control is run throw the factory radio.. ive searched but came up with nothing

The reason the corksport kit is so expensive is that is comes with a module to control the AC.

The AC controls plug into the little magic box in the pictures. You will have to steal some parts from your factory radio, though.

hey i appreciate ur help.... i believe i blew my stock radios power supply board so hopefully by buying this kit since the new radio should come with its own board built inside the unit, i will have radio and ac once again!

You don't have to take the HU quite that far apart, you do have to take off the AC controls and the hazard switch, but you don't need to take the circuit board off of it.

Question

Just for clarification.... You would need to purchase a double din radio for this kit otherwise you would have a large gap?

The hazard switch was plugged in to the back side of the circuit board. I took it off to be safe.

Raider - you could get a 1 din and get a 2 din to 1 din conversion kit from anywhere - it would look kinda wierd but you could do it. but look around on the forum, there are better ways if your just going to do a 1 din

and Arby, yeah but the plug is right on the top of that board, i did pulled it back a little and it came right out, but i can see why you would take it apart if you didn't want to try that, but it's like 15 screws! too much work for one little plug for me..
