Today i was driving and i noticed my center console opened without sliding it back. Normally when i first got the car (few days ago) i had to slide it back to open the console.

Is there a fix for this? I liked it the other way soo much better...this is just getting annoying.

The console lid slide attachment parts easily break. A known fragility.
Many of us have had it repaired/replaced under warranty and were thereafter very careful not to lean on it when getting in.

I seem to remember some DIY threads on this. Do an advanced title search and you should find it.

 

i found a few but they are all on the sliding part closing when they stop or open...mine locks in perfect..its just i can lift the whole thing sideways even without sliding it backk...this just started.
idk what broke off or anything.

can i fix this?
im not under warrenty or anything at all.

i just bought this car last week....

 

i bought a new one from the factory...50$....
i also got a brand new heated seat switch.

I know someone who works for an acura dealership so he ordered them for me.
