Oh, how I wish there was a STICKY THREAD for people who don't read the complete question and jump to conclusions.

And if only it was answered in that SAME sticky thread.

I asked for depth, not the size of the speaker. I read the sticky, several times and cant find it. If it's in there, prove me wrong please.

my point was, you should have simply asked in there, FBD is one of the most knowledgeable people we have around these parts when it comes to audio and he would probably answer his own thread rather then a random new thread.

I could give a **** about proving someone wrong, this is about pointing you in the right direction.
Take it or leave it, it's up to you.

Yea, cause center channel depth is a FAQ.

Since the answer isn't in there, you can keep your direction.

Thanks, but I honestly don't know the max depth of the center speaker. Nobody uses it, so I guess I never really cared. I have seen someone install a 4" Pioneer speaker in there though, which is 1 3/4" in depth. Took a very small amount of cutting to get the 4" to fit into the factory 3" location, but it was done. Don't think depth was the issue there.

Here's a thread of someone saying the 4" Pioneer's were too deep for him. So I don't know. I'm positive someone on here has done it. I've seen the pictures.

And Kicker makes a 3.5" speaker. 1 3/4" depth too. Infinity and JL Audio both make a 3.5" with 1 1/2" mounting depth.

Once you get the center speaker out, take some pics of it up next to a ruler. I'll post them in the FAQ.

I'm using a Boston Acoustics S-35 in that location. Some plastic cutting was needed to fit the larger magnet, but it wasn't too bad. Depth dimension is given as 1 11/16" here http://www.crutchfield.com/S-UcrCS6e...stics-S35.html
