I just bought my '8 used a month or so ago and have been trying to figure this problem out. I have the Bose 6 CD changer, and I can't get the CD function to work. Pushing the button on the head unit does nothing, and when I put a CD in it will suck it in, but then nothing will happen. It will eject it fine, I just can't get it to switch the function to the CD player.

Any thoughts? Or am I just screwed and going to have to put in a new fancy head unit?

 

...damn...i've got the same issue, too......and the fact that the slightest road tics cause the CD's to skip

 

I have never actually gotten the CD player to actually work, so I don't know if it skips or not. lol
