car pc sat nav alternative?

anyOne thought of buying a spare dash peice & making a motorised mount for a screen? i'm thinking its possible & might attempt it, but has anyone done this before?

hmm something like this for the screen may fit in under the dash peice.... & would only need a slot cut in it....
