In-car camera solutions

I've misplaced my Sticky Pod (no ******* clue where it is. It's just gone), and it's time to buy a new in-car camera solution.

Frankly, the Sticky Pod felt amateurish, and was a pain in the *** to deal with. If there's a better solution out there that isn't insanely expensive (like ChaseCam is), I wanna hear about it!

Any recommendations guys?

A very cheap way is to use the sticky velcro strips that hang pictures on the wall on the top of the inside of the pass-through and attach a bar between them

use a tripod screw mounted through it to hold you cam. moves with the car and with even the most unintelligent anti-jitter in your camera comes out very smooth video. you can see gear shift if zoomed all the way out and still see road, or you can zoom into the window only.
i will go and get pics now, only caveat is i used screws instead of velcro and a cheap little piece of wood. should have used velcro and a piece of bar stock though.

Another benefit of this would be that it is hidden when you are not using the camera, the mount can easily be stored in the pass-through compartment.
