cant get doors to unlock with aftermarket alarm

hey im in the middle of isntalling a remote start / alarm... the problem is that i cant get the doors to unlock/lock. ive connected the lock/unlock motor wires, still no results.

should i instead connect the "unlock motor" output and "lock motor" output to the switch instead of the motor? like connect them to the (for driver side LtGrn and Blck (i think)? ud think jsut tappin the switch should be enough and the relays should take care of the rest, right? i know the switch is directional for lock, and reverse for unlock...

has anyone installed an aftermaket alarm and gotten the locks to work?

id like to get the doors working so i can put the paneling back up before i get to work on the ignition.

too bad i couldnt get someone to do all this for me for a hundred bucks lol.

where i work, an alarm with keyless entry is installed for 130 plus the alarm and any additional parts.

as to connecting to the lock/unlock motor, thats a pain. you need to use a relay pack (directed electronics 451m) and hook a 1000 ohm resistor to the lock side, leaving the unlock a straight negative trigger. both the lock and unlock wires coming from the relay pack will connect to the same wire, which is lt green in the driver kick door harness.

and yes, i have installed an aftermarket alarm and remote start on my 04 gt mt rx8. :D

whoops, i missed the remote start part. most shops will not do a remote start on a manual transmission, but.......the rx8 has a neutral safety switch built in and it works with dei remote start systems. and as to the price, it would be higher at a shop with the remote start. and yes, you absolutely have to use a relay. the 451m is 2 mini relays already pre wired to work door locks.
