I like the metal look, but they do get darn hot when pushing the car at all.

This model at least has some leather on front and back, plus matches my seats. Kinda interesting that their example pic on the web is of one installed in a RX-8.

Anybody know of a shift **** similar to this one? (Sorry I forget the name)
What I like about this...
-the multicolor look
-the shape how it isn't just a round ball, it is a little taller
-I heard it is heavier
What I don't like...
-outrageous price

Any suggestions?

Yeah I think mine came to like $160 or so shipped with my military discount. But it's totally worth it.

Had the ball shifter in my Evo. Loved it and have been considering getting it for the 8.

Also considering the bulb shifter. Hate being indecisive.

I know my buddy tracked his Miata with an aspec Ti and didn't have any complaints. If heat bothers you, than consider one that's not bare metal.

^ Not so sure about that. Plus, it's not going to geat nearly hot as metal, and wood looks better with use and age, unlike both metal and leather.

We all are entitled to our own opinion, of course. I prefer class and comfort. One thing for sure is that it's much more ergonomic than the stock one, although it is a bit lighter and requires a little more effort to shift. I was hoping that it'd be darker, Black Ebony and all, but it is what it is.
