Im running one of these JL's off a 5 channel amp and usually have the bass in the rx8 set to 2 or 3.Today i opened up my trunk and to my suprise i saw black pieces of rubber layng on the amp.....it was bits and pieces of the sub, I dont see why this happened. Is this covered by the JL warranty or am i gonna have to pay for a new one? and even if i do replace it, wouldnt this happen again and again?what could i do?.

That's gonna be tough to push through under warranty.

what could be wrong.. did i push it to hard? i only went up to 19 on the volume lately and thats very loud but not enough to blow it i would think, so it must be the type of music that did it or just bad luck. a shop installed it so its under warranty, but im not sure if theyll just replace it for free after 5 months unless JL covers it

i turned up the bass boost up all the way since the begining..

guess ill leave it at half way next time.
Jl said they WILL repair it and send it back, i wonder how long itll take..
