The Mazda Part Number for the 2004 RX-8 blower **** is FE61-61-195. Ours just broke and the dealer says we can get a replacement for $51.95. Needless to say, I'm shopping on line for something less costly.

Note: The ***** have 2 finishes, shiny & satin.

FE61-61-195 = Fan **** w/ Satin Finish
FE81-61-195 = Fan **** w/ Shiny Finish

I have the same problem with my ***** being broken, the price for new ones is ridiculous! This guy 3D print a fix and put the specs up on thingiverse,

I am trying to get a price from a 3D printer... Someone should definetely mass produce these plastic pieces to fix these knobbs for good!

If anyone finds where someone sells them please let me know.

when I bought my 8 in august of last year it was missing the fan control **** and the passenger sun visor. the dealership said that they didnt carry the **** by itself and only carried the whole hvac controls for about $200 and the visor for $220. I like many others said no to that. I got my **** for $47 off of med center mazda.

I have a 3D printer and too have fallen victim to the broken AC **** problem.

I'll try printing the one from the youtube video tonight and see how it works. If it works well, I can probably print some for you guys for shipping or something.
