Im looking for a new headunit. I want one thats a reasonable price. I prefer one thats not a touchscreen.

 

Well are you specifically looking for Pioneer? Or are you open to other brands?

 

I echo the brand question. Not that Pioneer is crap, just wondering what our options are.

What features would you consider must haves? Bluetooth? USB? Front USB? Rear USB? 2 pair of RCA preouts? 3 pair? What are your future plans?

 

In addition to fire's questions, do you have a price range that you're looking for as well?

 

I bought a DEH-P8400BH and was very happy with it. The sound was great with my bose speakers. I did take it back and ordered a DEH-X9500BHS instead for just $10 more from Amazon so I could use my sirius xm tuner without having another adapter which saved me $70.

 

Im looking for somewhere between $80-130

 

Oh and also Bluetooth media streaming would be good aswell. Thank you guys for the help.

 

take a look at the Kenwood KDC-BT652U, it's in your price range. Especially with blutooth streaming and pandora. Not the best that's out there but not bad for the money, might be right up your alley.

Pioneer's DEH-X6500BT is the only Pioneer with bluetooth in your price range.

That Kenwood is a solid offering. Please note that it actually has 2.5V RCA preouts. NOT the 4V that their online product page says. 4V is only on the eXelon version (KDC-X696). It's noted in the owners manual. It does, however, have 3 pair of RCA preouts versus only two on the Pioneer 6500 (which are 2V).

The only other decent headunit I can think of in that price range would be the Alpine CDE-133BT. Only one 2V preout. So I'm not sure what your upgrade plans are....if that matters.

nice man I just grabbed a Kenwood X896, just have to wait for my metra kit to get here today and I'm gonna shove that one in there real good. I hope it's as good as I think it's going to be.
